Hi everyone, i think this is some kind of Military Dog Tag, would be most grateful if some expert could tell me more about disc and badge please.

I have it a few years now and it came along with the Hatchet and Pliers Badge.

Checked N/A for Wackett and number but nothing stood out to me.

Looks to be WW2 with a REME hammer and Tongs trade badge stuck through it, they weren't formed till 1942.

I would agree with Sam, the long service number puts it post WW1 and more likely nearer WW2.

Possibly a little off topic on GWF?

the long service number puts it post WW1

The sparseness of detail and the lettering style do also. Being post 1920 (and pre October 1950), the Army number indicates initial enlistment in the Royal Artillery (just for info, 'Army numbers' (1 to 8 digits) were encountered between 1920 and 1950 with 'Regimental numbers' (1 to 6 digits) prior to that (and, even earlier... battalion numbers (usually 1 to 4 digits))... 'Service numbers' (8 digits) were from 1950 onwards)

Dave, thank you for the great details, amazes me what we can learn from service numbers.
