Back again. Had a look at a cap badge of IG online and it doesn't seem to be like the one in the photo.

Re-scanned photo so let's hope it fits this time.

Hi John,

I posted the photo on Rootschat as I couldn't upload onto here. I have had an answer which has allowed me to put a name to the person in the photo.

Two brothers were both in WW1 and died in France, one in 1915 and one in 1918, both were age 19 at the time of their deaths. One was in the Irish Guards, and the other in the West Yorkshire Regt.

The photo I was trying to get identified turned out to be the one who was in the WY Regt. He was a Rifleman in the 8th Bn. Leeds Rifles, hence a different cap badge to the normal one with the horse on as per his grave memorial.
