Simon127 Posted 5 June , 2012 Share Posted 5 June , 2012 This is a very easy one for most of you I'm sure and I wouldn't have bothered posting it on here if I was able to access the enfield stuff site. For some reason a message saying forbidden keeps flashing up every time I try...? I am trying to work out what the makers mark on a SMLE oiler weight translates to. It appears as follows: Crown motif K8 13 - although this could be a gothic type letter B Thanks in advance, Simon
TonyE Posted 5 June , 2012 Share Posted 5 June , 2012 The Gothic "B" or Beta is the inspection mark for BSA. K8 is the number of the inspector. Regards TonyE PS For some odd reason I also get the"Forbidden" message at the moment! Worked perfectly well recently.
Simon127 Posted 5 June , 2012 Author Share Posted 5 June , 2012 Cheers Tony. See I knew it would be an easy one. On another matter do you have an e-mail address I can send some pics to? I have recently got hold of some Boer War battlefield recovery projectiles and clips that were picked up during the conflict and thought that as an ammo collector you might be interested to see them. For once I'm pretty sure I know what they all are! If so, just PM me your e-mail. Simon
