auchonvillerssomme Posted 26 May , 2012 Share Posted 26 May , 2012 These were attributed to an officer who was killed in October 1918, he saw overseas service from early 1915. They were given to me with some other personal items by the relatives of the man but I have always been a bit unsure about them, is it likely he would have owned these? auchonvillerssomme Posted 26 May , 2012 Author Share Posted 26 May , 2012 Yes and he didn't serve overseas until Sept 1915, but they came with other items that made some sense and I'm not sure how they would have come into thier possession and joined the rest of the stuff. So I suppose the other question might be unrelated to the first and would they have been authrised for wear? mess dress item?
