vm question

hi all quick question , i have a few vm's as singles and as part of groups now my question is about the thickness of these medals only one medal is of a different thickness to the rest , is there any explanaition to this was this a common accurance or could it be an indicator to a fake

I don't think that a change in thickness will indicate anything unusual. I am guessing, but I would expect the obtaining of flans, from which the medals were made, was put out to a number of manufacturers some of which were not as geared up to accuracy as others. Certainly I read somewhere that the flan diameters can vary depending on whether they were manufactured in Europe or India.
