Inside France's secret World War I bunker

So amazingly well preserved the wheels still have air in them! Looks to me as if the urban explorers have broken into someones collection.

Great find and great pics. Pity about some of the puerile comments in the first link with their petty insults and name-calling.Makes me appreciate even more the way our own Forum is run.

Apart from the wrecked artillery piece, the rest of the vehicles have clearly been put there recently. Hardly a WW1/2 archaeological find if the vehicles are relatively modern and its in a location that has been used for commercial purposes very recently......

You might have added that most of the photos are not of a bunker. At least one looks much more like a sandstone quarry (mine to you).

I agree with the strictures on the puerile comments. What a pathetic bunch. Why isn't education compulsory in Britain?

What are we asking education to achieve, correct the grammar or change the thinking?

Both, and perhaps instruct me where these photos were taken so I can bring the old German cannon back to my house.

Scary how some people find hatred and intolerance to be funny...

Whoa, I didn't check out the comments until I saw members commenting on it here. Reaffirms why I never both with comment sections on articles or videos.

Although the comments are only the opinions and rambling of the average reader of the Daily Mail, I would suggest they are reflecting what they have been told by their fathers and grandfathers who gave up 5 years of their lives to see the rest of the world, including their old enemies, thriving (until now) while they were sat in darkness and subject to rationing until 1954 and poor pay and conditions until well into the 1970's. Those thoughts will never change just because someone tells them they must.
