o j kirby Posted 2 May , 2012 Share Posted 2 May , 2012 Hello Troops, I have seen photos of TF troops clearly showing the removal of the "T" element of the shoulder title, leaving the number and regiment only. For example, a T/6/Seaforth becoming 6/Seaforth. I have examples of both in my collection, along with titles that clearly have been T/ / titles. Can anyone tell me if the cropping of titles was officially sanctioned, and when? I have also seen titles showing te "T" altered to become a number 1. Was any decision on this subject left at the discression of te unit, or a universal order? Cheers, Owain.
T8HANTS Posted 2 May , 2012 Share Posted 2 May , 2012 At a guess it would have been when the Territorials were absobed into the regular army. I think that was in November 1916, but am happy to corrected. G
