Please can anyone assist regarding the following with confirmation from battalion/brigade/divisional orders or from an attributed photo or, best of all, a uniform with the flash attached?

In 56th Brigade 7th East Lancs wore a red triangle with yellow edges, was this inverted i.e point downwards?

In 58th Brigade 9th Cheshire and 9th Royal Welsh Fusiliers wore green triangles with yellow edges, which of these units wore the triangle inverted?

I know what detail Waring gives in his i/d pamphlet but I am seeking confirmation from a primary source

Thanks in advance

Hello Mike,

Just checked, supplied by well known member "Arthur".my thanks to him.

Regards.

Colin.

With respect to Arthur, I understand he relies on Waring - as all those of us lucky enough to have a copy do - as mentioned in the original post; so we're still lacking a primary source.

Cheers,

GT.

Mike,

Not very clear but I can assure you this is a 9th. Cheshire man, my father in fact.

Colin.
