Anyone know what it was award for - service / sacrifice? http://www.ebay.com/...=item27c635562d Hello, This medal is catalogued in " La Frappe en Belgigue occupée" written by Charles Lefebure, Brussels & Paris 1923. This medal was given in April 1919 to inhabittants of the village Watermael- Boitsfort ( Watermaal-Bosvoorde) in the Brussels area who participate the the War in the Belgian Army ( maybe also in the resistance?). Catalogue says: Offerte aux combattants habitant la commune... So in other words, its a token, a souvenir given by local authoroties. Kind regards, Jef
