I found a medal in my previous garden. Its a gallopoli star medal from ww1. Its has the maker name of B.B&Co on the back which i have traced to a company in Berlin. But below the makers name there is a letter 'E' inscribed. Can't find any reference to this letter on the net. Could anyone help me find out what this means, or point me into a direction that would help me. Thanks

As you are aware the medal is a German made example of the Turkish star or commonly called Gallipoli Star, I don't think the enscribed letter indicates anything more than a possible initial of an owner.
