MichaelBully Posted 17 March , 2013 Share Posted 17 March , 2013 Belated thanks for posting this Ken. Have only just come across Wilfrid Wilson Gibson after seeing him being mentioned in 'Now All Roads lead To France- The Last Years of Edward Thomas' by Matthew Hollis. I did a search here and on the War Poets Association website to find out more. My first impression is that he is one of those poets /writers who work has not stood the test of time as it were. MichaelBully Posted 5 August , 2013 Share Posted 5 August , 2013 Some months later would like to revive this thread. I have looked at the War Poets Association page on Gibson again and the case is made that he was quite an influence on both Sassoon and Rosenberg. Something I hadn't taken in before. http://www.warpoets.org/conflicts/greatwar/gibson/
