ArmyOfficer Posted 7 August , 2004 Share Posted 7 August , 2004 Just found a book at a flea market: "Zwischen Arras und Peronne" (Between Arras und Perrone); published by an unnamed German Reserve Corps HQ (Baden) in 1916. Over 300 pictures of then behind the lines locations. Here are two of Bazentin

ArmyOfficer Posted 9 August , 2004 Author Share Posted 9 August , 2004 How much did you pay for this book? Egbert: 12 Euro...too much? I keep a look out for these types in all the used book stores here in Heidelberg; they're about the only bits of WWI memorabilia you can buy. I especially like the travel guides of France produced for German soldiers during the War. The only problem is that reading the old buchstaben is hard for me.. Paul Reed Posted 9 August , 2004 Share Posted 9 August , 2004 Good price. Our mutual friend, John at the Shell Hole, has one version of An Der Somme on his shelves at the moment, which is a similar publication covering the central Somme area.
