CEF BOOKS BY CARL NASH

A few years back Carl Nash produced three books listing casualties for a number of CEF units. I find them handy for doing a quick check. For example I bid on a 1st Bn pair upon seeing he had been wounded at Passchendaele.

While there may be errors, and the books are based on Militia returns, etc., so they may give the month of a casualty but not the specific date, the have proved to be a good resource.

So far, he has covered the following battalions: 1st, 2nd, 42nd, 73rd, 85th, 102nd. The fourth book will cover the 31st, 50th, 60th, and 116th Bns. While we can quickly check the CWGC site or Wigney's CEF book for fatalities, these publications can help you with wounded, POW's,etc.

I would be happy to check individuals for the six battalions covered to date.
