susanhemmings Posted 21 March , 2012 Share Posted 21 March , 2012 Not sure if anyone is interested but just noticed that the Belfast Newsletter is available for searching (by date) on Ancestry Susan Click
tommy mcclimonds Posted 21 March , 2012 Share Posted 21 March , 2012 Susan Well spotted indeed and it certainly will save me many trips to the Linenhall Library. The fact it has been scanned from 1738 to 1925 is a real bonus. Thanks for sharing your find as this could so easily have been well and truly missed. Thanks, regards, Tommy. Ardtrabane Posted 21 March , 2012 Share Posted 21 March , 2012 Thanks Susan I have been trying to find the link in my Ancestry but unfortunately I can't. I phoned Ancestry today and the tec couldnt find it either, nor could he understand why it didn't appear on my account. He had to send me an email with a link so I could access it. I would have thought that it should have been in the "card index" in the "newspapers, periodicals and magazines" section? But it has yet to appear. Thanks Don
hen190782 Posted 22 March , 2012 Share Posted 22 March , 2012 Tommy " it certainly will save me many trips to the Linenhall Library" Newspaper Library is a lot better for News Letter, Northern Whig and Belfast Telegraph as you can get the actual printed editions rather than microfilm scans (except for the portions of the Belfast Telegraph that are deemed to be too damaged to be released to plebs like you and me!!!).
