After his death his effects and property were received by;- (Brother) James Byrne, Ballinacargy, County Westmeath, Ireland. His Last Will and Testament was witnessed by;- John Arthur Bell 1st Irish Guards, Wellington Bks, London, Sw. Thomas Bothwell, Wellington Bks, London, SW. IPT Posted 14 March , 2012 Share Posted 14 March , 2012 Hi Tom, He has some papers. He originally joined in 1902, aged 23. Re-engaged 16/2/1914 at London for such period as shall complete 21 years. Was with BEF 12/8/1914 to 13/10/1914. From 12/1914, he had Bronchitis then TB up until discharge. Discharged 2/2/1915 - No longer physically fit etc, but fit for employment in civil life.
