River97 Posted 14 April , 2012 Share Posted 14 April , 2012 On the way home from work yesterday I stopped in at Stirling District Cemetery. I have a non-com buried there and also took a couple of photo's of the grave of Blanche Atkinson. It is only a small cemetery, but a big plot for the family. There are family members listed on both sides as well. Her mother is listed underneath. and it must have been a terrible few years for them. Her father and a sister in the years preceeding the war and mother just after. Cheers Andy.
Guest Kevsussex Posted 14 April , 2012 Share Posted 14 April , 2012 Thank you very much for this post. There is a small framed Roll-of-Honour at St Peter's Church, East Blatchington, Seaford, East Sussex which shows the name of Thomas Richard Barber. Efforts to trace him have, until your post been unsuccessful. I assume that it is the same person as his widow was from Sussex too. Is there any way I can contact the volunteer involved so I can establish further information (or maybe assist with providing more information? Thanks again Kevin.
