Remembered Today:

Mons March

I see on the news part of the site this walk will take place from Mons to the Somme.

Can anyone supply details of the exact route to be taken, especially the starting point, and why it ends on the Somme when the BEF came no-where near the Somme battlefields at this time?

Why aren't you walking down to the Marne?

Just bumping this up, as I am sure there would be members of this forum who would like to know the route, so we can at least see some of you do it?

Absolutely , Paul . Also interesting that a period Thorneycroft lorry will be in attendance. I hope some of those involved (Trenchwalker ?) will put us in the picture.

Is this happening this weekend - Sat 14th - or next - Sat 21st? I suspect the second, in which case I'll sadly miss it - sounds a good commemoration
