Maarten Posted 19 February , 2012 Share Posted 19 February , 2012 Hello everybody, I'm looking for a trench map of Poperinge. I already have the trench map op Poperinge-Busseboom and Poperinge-Lijssenthoek but not yet of Poperinge itself and the northern and western site. Does anyone have such trench maps. Thanks! Kind regards Maarten

tootrock Posted 19 February , 2012 Share Posted 19 February , 2012 I would have thought that Poperinge was far enough behind the lines that trenches were not neccessary. Martin

CROONAERT Posted 20 February , 2012 Share Posted 20 February , 2012 I would have thought that Poperinge was far enough behind the lines that trenches were not neccessary. Martin Trench lines could be found as far back as Dunkirk, Bergues, Wormhoudt, Watten, etc. Below is a map depicting the main defensive trenchlines of the distant rear areas as in October 1917 Dave
