Jonathan_NW Posted 7 February , 2012 Share Posted 7 February , 2012 Any ideas from the collar badges as to which Regiment this could be? It's a very faded and battered photo but my initial reaction was that the badge was a Horn of a Light Infantry Regiment? If I could just find this information out I could then do some further research into the team. All suggestions most welcome. 4thGordons Posted 7 February , 2012 Share Posted 7 February , 2012 Not sure it helps much but.... ? Platoon C Coy is chalked on the ball. Chris
Jonathan_NW Posted 7 February , 2012 Author Share Posted 7 February , 2012 It looks a bit like the acorn and oak leaves of the Cheshire Regiment or the South Nottinghamshire Hussars and if I had to choose I would plump for the former. That's very good. Just had a look and I think you are right. Thank you. Anyone disagree?
squirrel Posted 8 February , 2012 Share Posted 8 February , 2012 I'd go with Cheshires too.
Steven Broomfield Posted 8 February , 2012 Share Posted 8 February , 2012 Looking at the hirstyles and the o.r.s with collar dogs, I'd go for post-war, too.
Stebie9173 Posted 8 February , 2012 Share Posted 8 February , 2012 In most battalions "C" Company would comprise "9", "10", "11" and "12" platoons, so possibly 11 platoon? Steve.
