Roger H Posted 6 February , 2012 Share Posted 6 February , 2012 Unfortunately, my TNA trench map CD dos not cover this area just south of the Somme. Does anyone have a map (linesman??) showing Camp 59 in Bayonville in 1917? I understand from a war diary the ref is Q21. Even if the actual camp is not marked, an image of the area would be appreciated. Roger
CROONAERT Posted 6 February , 2012 Share Posted 6 February , 2012 Q21 depicts 'Susan Wood' and 'Jean Wood' with Bayonvillers spanning W2 and Q32. There is an unnamed group of huts showing just south of 'Reginald Wood' in nearby square Q20b. Would this be it? Dave

Roger H Posted 6 February , 2012 Author Share Posted 6 February , 2012 Dave Many thanks - despite what the diary says, I suspect you are spot on. A bit north of the village then. Roger

CROONAERT Posted 6 February , 2012 Share Posted 6 February , 2012 I think that you may be correct, Roger. 'Reginald' is called 'Bois de la Cour' these days. Dave
