Second Officier


ARMAGH

Second Officer Lee Rice who died of illness in Armagh contracted while serving in Mesopotamia.

Born 5 April 1889 son of John Rice Mullinure Co Armagh

Merchant Service Head Line,then,

Joined Royal Naval Transport Service in the war.

was given a military funeral,reported in the local papers,was buried in St Mark,s Church graveyard Armagh 29 7 1917. Age 27

have Looked for his Service Records on which ships he served etc, but no luck.

Any member going to Kew?

Maybe a kind Forum chum could look for his service records?

We are trying to gather enough evidence,when he be came ill? and where and if on a ship,so as we can bring this sailor in from the cold.

Can any one help?
