hen190782 Posted 8 January , 2012 Share Posted 8 January , 2012 Hi This man, born in Scotland, is listed as a fatality on the Roll of Honour for Strand-Sydenham Presbyterian Church in Belfast. I cannot locate an entry in CWGC, IMR or SDGW. Can anyone help? Nigel

hen190782 Posted 8 January , 2012 Author Share Posted 8 January , 2012 Azureus Thanks, that is him as the NoK details match his parents' names and Belfast address As he was 12 in 1911, he was discharged from RIRifles under para 392 IV (a). Wonder if he later re-enlisted with Seaforth Highlanders? Nigel
hen190782 Posted 8 January , 2012 Author Share Posted 8 January , 2012 Munster - thanks, had spotted that entry on CWGC Dundeesown - as he had already been discharged for "false statement of age at enlistment", I wonder if he enlisted with Seaforth's with a false surname? Do you have any NoK details for this man? My man was the son of Samuel Dale and Agnes Riddick. Nigel

hen190782 Posted 8 January , 2012 Author Share Posted 8 January , 2012 Gary - OK, thanks. It looks like my man was discharged in August 1915 and may have re-enlisted with the Seaforths using an alias. Nigel
