Black Sapper Posted 7 January , 2012 Share Posted 7 January , 2012 Hi guys, Any help here would be useful as I'm trying to link this soldier to another Kingdon family & am getting lost somewhere? Kingdon, Walter F:London Regiment No: 555062 Rank: Rifleman 1914-1920 WO 372/11 Notes: Records card has Walter serving with the 16th (County of London) Battalion, The London Regiment (Queen’s Westminster Rifles), his number denotes that he enlisted between 04.12.1916 & 01.01.1917; Further research records that he Enlisted on 07.06.1916 & served overseas at some point in his service; I believe that Rifleman Walter F Kingdon is also on the Silver War Badge list having been Discharged on 22.04.1919 under King’s Regulations Para 392 (xvi) for Sickness Aged 20; This is Walter F. Kingdon born 1898/9 in ??; Awarded the Silver War Badge #476969;No Medals issued but Card on file; (Insufficient information to identify clearly); Many thanks in advance.... Admin spof Posted 7 January , 2012 Admin Share Posted 7 January , 2012 The SWB roll states he served overseas so there should be a MIC somewhere unless it has been lost over time. I believe some have been lost.
