saintconor Posted 27 December , 2011 Share Posted 27 December , 2011 Hi, I was wondering if anyone might be in a position to help me identify a soldier I'm researching. He was 4436804 Pte W Smith and he served with the Northamptonshire Regiment in China as a reservist in 1927. His number indicates that he was originally a member of the Durham Light infantry who was already serving with the Regiment when the new numbers came in sometime in 1921.
