RJones Posted 9 December , 2011 Share Posted 9 December , 2011 Can someone kindly identify this cap badge ? I've been looking at the Military Badges site someone here kindly linked me to, and the closest I can find is Royal Artillery (bottom of the page), but it doesn't seem quite right. Many thanks in advance.
Steven Broomfield Posted 9 December , 2011 Share Posted 9 December , 2011 Angle of the picture and the effect of light makes it look odd, but I'd be happy with RA.

RJones Posted 9 December , 2011 Author Share Posted 9 December , 2011 It was the angle that threw me a bit too, but I'll go with your(far more experienced) judgements! Thanks very much!
FROGSMILE Posted 10 December , 2011 Share Posted 10 December , 2011 It was the angle that threw me a bit too, but I'll go with your(far more experienced) judgements! Thanks very much! It was a large badge at that time and so looks a bit overwhelming sometimes on a SD cap.
RJones Posted 10 December , 2011 Author Share Posted 10 December , 2011 It does seem big compared to the badges on other pictures I have. That makes it much clearer, thanks!

They still wear a large badge on peaked forage caps today, but a much smaller one on their undress head dress.
