4thGordons Posted 1 December , 2011 Share Posted 1 December , 2011 On an otherwise unremarkable studio portrait of an anonymous young solder (Simplified pattern jacket no insignia etc) I just noticed this on his cap. Does this have any particular significance or is it akin to wearing a GS or Regimental button in lieu of a cap badge whilst waiting for them to be supplied - if so might the cross shape indicate a particular unit?
