Thanks to the replies that helped me get my grandfather's MM repaired. G-A Medals just returned the finished item (ahead of any payment, much to his credit), and it looks absolutely brilliant; a first-class job if ever I saw one.

I wonder if anyone can help me track down a replacement ribbon for the Belgian Decoration Militaire, which matches what is shown here: My link I've hunted around but not come across one that exactly matches anywhere.

w about a photo of the finished job?

Here it is after my step-grandmother vandalised it, however much it had already been battered after countless outings on my grandfather's exploits (he spent much of his post-WW1 years in Ireland and then as a policeman, guarding South Stack lighthouse during WW2). He was 25135 Edward Rowlands, 17th R.W.F., of Penmynydd, Anglesey.
