Labourer Mahmoud Mahomed AHMED 385 Egyptian Labour Corps Died 10.10.17 Commemorated: France (1914-1918) Memorial, Berks, UK Pte George BARRETT 5347 8 Bn, Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment) Died 26.09.15 Age 22 Commemorated: France (1914-1918) Memorial, Berks, UK Pte John KAYE 9175 1 Bn, Highland Light Infantry Died between 11.03.15 and 18.03.15 Age 29 Commemorated: France (1914-1918) Memorial, Berks, UK NOT FORGOTTEN The above were In from the Cold Project cases. - Labourer Ahmed was executed for mutiny in Marseilles (Volunteer: Ivor Lee) - Pte Barrett died in action (Volunteer: Kevin O’Neill) - Pte Kaye died in action (Volunteer: Adrian Wright) Labourer Ahmed’s case stemmed from a discussion on GWF several years ago but it was Ivor who supplied us with the documentary evidence.
