scottmarchand Posted 12 November , 2011 Share Posted 12 November , 2011 That sounds like a WW2 anti aircraft artillery formation patch, best to try eBay in the ww2 insignia or badge section. They should be cheap.
tony paley Posted 19 November , 2011 Share Posted 19 November , 2011 This is the patch of Anti Aircarft Command worn from WW 2 1940 time until the 1950s , quite a common patch. Tony P
Peter Doyle Posted 20 November , 2011 Share Posted 20 November , 2011 Except that AA Command wore a red formation sign with a blue bow and arrow...These are readily available, as mentioned above Peter
Staffsyeoman Posted 20 November , 2011 Share Posted 20 November , 2011 And the bow and arrow - of which there were two types, one a simple semi-circle, the other a more accurate representation of a bow - was actually black, not blue. Of all the AA Command badges I have ever seen, it has never been on a circle, but a square. This badge sounds like a specific RA regiment arm badge of the WW2 period, and some of these are not easy to find or cheap.
