DrB Posted 22 July , 2004 Share Posted 22 July , 2004 I cannot find this in my references, but "Semper Paratus" means "always faithful" and is the motto of the U.S. Coast Guard. Since this is obviously not an American badge, I might venture a guess that it is non-military and perhaps the "C" in the PTC stands for "college." Sorry, not much help here. mordac Posted 22 July , 2004 Share Posted 22 July , 2004 Hi All: Only two CEF battalions had the motto "Semper Paratus" on their cab badge: the 2nd and 136th Battalions. Both badges used the maple leaf as the main feature with the King's crown on top, the battalion number in the centre and the battalion motto on the bottom. There was also a variation of the 2nd Battalion badge that didn't contain their motto. Garth
