I would very much like to locate the Commemrative plaque of one William Frederick BEAN of Northampton,late Middlesex,who was killed on 31st March 1916 whilst serving with the 6th Service Bn The Northamptonshire Regiment... TiA xx :thumbsup: HB :poppy:

I assume you are referring to his bronze memorial plaque, rather than a commemorative plaque placed in a church or suchlike?

Hi,

Just incase you didn't know, i checked his Medal Index Card online, and found out the following information:

Private

William F Bean

13943

Northamptonshire Regiment

Was entitled to the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal & Victory Medal

First served in France on 27/05/1915

Killed In Action: 31/03/1916

Thanks Tom, yes I have his Trio & am hoping to locate his Plaque,the trio came from a descendant & they have no idea where the Plaque went...fingers Crossed! :whistle:

Yes that is true.. old habits die hard I always refer to the Memorial Plaques as Commemorative Plaques...which IIRC is the title they were given at the time. :poppy:
