bushfighter Posted 16 October , 2011 Author Share Posted 16 October , 2011 Actually Kevin I cannot think of a suitable name. Perhaps a younger & less jaded Member can contribute a piece of sharp incisive wit. I crossed the Rufiji from south to north on Thursday evening by the new bridge, which I was told had been built by the Chinese. The delta, last refuge of the Konigsberg, still appears very impressive from the air. In Zanzibar Anglican Cathedral I photographed a brass memorial plaque to Commander R.O.B. Bridgeman DSO who lost his life during a seaplane reconnaissance over the Rufiji Delta. I can post it later when I have a better internet link, should any Member be interested. ShirlD Posted 16 October , 2011 Share Posted 16 October , 2011 Thanks Harry, sounds like another fascinating journey you are on. I was particularly interested in the 130 Baluchi Regiment movements. Enjoy Zanzibar and stay safe and well. Cheers Shirley
