Not Manchesters, it's the General Service cap badge as worn by the Labour Corps prior to adopting its own and also by the Volunteer Force.

Hi All

If it is a General Service cap badge, I can't find any record of it being WW1, the only thing I can find is:

The General Service Corps, was formed in February 1942 as a Reception Corps, receiving trainees

before posting to field force units and wore the Royal Arms in brass, or am I

This illustration is of a Officers bronze cap badge

General service badge was used in WW1 and worn by troops not attatched or posted to line regts or corps. (well simply put). Further research will proove fruitful. It is documented in many books.
