Help with cap badges

Bathe

Recommended Posts

Found in a box of family photos were several of soldiers who have not been recognised as members of the family to have served.

Can anyone help with the cap badges which will be a step towards identifying the men.

Many thanks

Hi S.B.,

Looking at the enlargement first--this seems to be Royal Fusiliers. The right hand top could be A.S.C. and the other two I cannot say!! any chance of enlarging the three smaller pics?

Thanks for the pointers so far.

I don't have the original photos, I'm working from scans, so cropping close to the badges may not help ...

... in fact it didn't

and to blow them up makes the file sizes too great to put in one post, so there are now three: post-28663-0-48313400-1316544606.jpg

I thought ASC at first but his shoulder titles look like they could be curved at the bottom and I'm pretty sure there's a T for territorial at the top. Other possibilities for the cap badge are Bedfordshire, Devonshire or Hampshire but it's too fuzzy to be sure.

Most likely Devons out of these three. The last enlargement could be Warwickshire Yeomanry? Not at all sure about the other one---too fuzzy!!
