If a man was entitled to the Victory medal and the war medal this would mean that he joined up after.....which date?

regards.

It would not give you a date of enlistment as men who were already serving or who joined in 1914 did not neccessarily embark for Overseas Service until after the 1914~1915 Star Cut off date which was entry into a Zone 'under fire' [ie In range of the Enemy Guns]before December 31st 1915,

Entitlement to the BWM/Victory[Only] just confirms O/S Service AFTER that date, not Enlistment date[indeed some who were in France before December 31st were not entitled to the Star]
