James Blonde Posted 12 August , 2011 Share Posted 12 August , 2011 Is anyone able to identify these for me please? Basically and off the top of my head:- Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz-Josef Large Silver Tapferkeit / Bravery Medal with Wiederholungs Spange (second award) Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz-Josef small bronze Tapferkeit / Bravery Medal with Wiederholungs Spange (second award) Prince Carol / Karl Troop Cross awarded for deployment in WW1. May we see the rest of the picture? Connaught Stranger.

James Blonde Posted 13 August , 2011 Share Posted 13 August , 2011 Hope the family dont mind. Well, as they are un-named should not be any problems, the chap appears to be in the post-annexation of Austrian military, (now under the Third Reich,) and as of yet no award of a military service medal. Theoretically could have added the Austrian Commemorative Medal for WW1 with sword device on the ribbon and the Combatant version of the German Hindenburg Cross as well both were available upon application by 1934/5. Thanks for showing. Connaught Stranger.
Fedelmar Posted 13 August , 2011 Author Share Posted 13 August , 2011 I think they are at the stage they are happy to grab any bit of information they can as they know nothing. I know they are over the moon to have learnt what little I have picked up from here. On their behalf ... thanks Bright Blessings Sandra
