jimmyjames Posted 14 July , 2004 Share Posted 14 July , 2004 For interest, I am attaching a snap of some Trench Art my brother picked up at an antiques centre in the Charlton Kings recently. It is a shaped brass shell with the word SOMME inscribed upon it. At the base from the 12 o'clock position are inscribed 11, at three o'clock there is inscribed 18 DEC at 6 o'clock L2217 (space) 15 (space) P there is an upside down L below the P.
