bmac Posted 13 July , 2004 Share Posted 13 July , 2004 Can anyone confirm the normal, mid 1916, composition of a German 77cm field gun battery, 10.5cm light howitzer battery and 15cm howitzer battery, i.e. how many guns in each. Thanks in advance.
N.S.Regt. Posted 13 July , 2004 Share Posted 13 July , 2004 bmac Peace time the field artillery was 6 field guns or 4 light field howitzers by 1915 it was reduced to 4 for all batterys this is for the 7.7 and 10.5 cm guns. the 15 cm howitzer I believe was foot artillery and should have 4 guns per battery.
