I would appreciate any information on 5494 Private Charles BOND of the 3rd Bn, Royal Fusiliers. Died 3rd May, 1915 aged 23 years. Commemorated on the Menin Gate. Enlisted Hounslow. Originally from Buckinghamshire. I am especially interested in any details in the Battalion War Diary.

Many thanks ... Maricourt

You can download the War Diary for 3 RF from the National Archives Catalogue for 3.50.

WO95/2279 runs from Dec 1914 to Oct 1915.

From his Medal Card I note that your subject first arrived in France on 7 March 1915.
