Susan Horton Posted 27 July , 2011 Share Posted 27 July , 2011 Is this uniform a WW1 or a WW2 Uniform. I initially thought it was WW1 but someone has said otherwise. Please confirm. Thank you Sue
Tinhat47 Posted 27 July , 2011 Share Posted 27 July , 2011 That's definitely a Pattern 1937 battledress tunic, so it's World War II or just before. The shoulder title is interesting with what appears to be a dark border around it -- or perhaps just a trick of the light?
FROGSMILE Posted 27 July , 2011 Share Posted 27 July , 2011 Is this uniform a WW1 or a WW2 Uniform. I initially thought it was WW1 but someone has said otherwise. Please confirm. Thank you Sue It is a WW2 Battle Dress Blouse of the early (1937) pattern with hidden buttons. He looks as if he might be a Royal Engineer as the beginning of his shoulder title can be seen and has the appearance of blue letters on a red backing.
