Can anyone say what activity the 2nd CG were employed in, on the dates 23rd -28th Nov.1917 please.

Hi, I am looking for any mention of L/Sergeant Harold Shipman 13008. 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards He was awarded the MM on the 9/11/18 for his actions on the attack on Maubeuge.

Welcome to the forum.

 

If you haven't already seen them, Harold has some service papers on Findmypast - link. They should also be available on Ancestry.

 

For his time with the 2nd Bn, the diary is available from the National Archives - link. It is also available on Ancestry (link), where the diary page entry for December 1918 shows:

where did you get the 9th from?  I have a MM to a 1st btn man on the 9th at this location  - the war diary says the 4th
