Remembered Today:

Lewis Gun

I am keen to tap into the knowledge of Lewis Gun experts. According to 'Craven's Part in the Great War' which has a 1914-18 history of the 6th Batttalion Duke of Wellington's (West Riding), Robinson produced tactical instructions on Lewis Gun tactics which propelled him into GHQ to direct Lewis Gun training in 1916. In May 1918 he rejoined the 6th Btn.

Given this prominent role, does anybody know of any literature that may mention him or or was even written by him - instruction manuals for instance.

I would also welcome any biographical knowledge on Robinson.

Thanks

Steve
