Grandpacarr Posted 29 June , 2011 Share Posted 29 June , 2011 ANY IDEA AS TO WHAT THIS BADGE IS FOR ?. This pair of badges came to me with some ww1 items and were joined together as if they had been used together, I would really appreciate anything on them. centurion Posted 29 June , 2011 Share Posted 29 June , 2011 Hi Mike thank you for you reply, that is really very interesting to think that the Boy Scout movement got involved in War Work of this kind. They also acted as patrols on inland water ways in case of sabotage (lock paddles left open to drain pounds and/or flood land etc), met troops off trains and acted as guides (not girl), ran errands for hospitals . In France French scouts helped on hospital barges
