jacksdad Posted 22 June , 2011 Share Posted 22 June , 2011 Dear All would anyone be able to help with a map showing the light rail route from Dickebusch over to Birr cross roads around this date. I have come across a number of diaries where men refer to this tramline come lightrail and state that is terminated at or around Birr cross Road but i have been unable to locate a map that show this. thanks roger
CROONAERT Posted 22 June , 2011 Share Posted 22 June , 2011 Here's an extract showing the Birr X-roads bit. There are quite a few junctions and meanders between here and Dickebusch so it may be a struggle to show the whole stretch on one map...

CROONAERT Posted 22 June , 2011 Share Posted 22 June , 2011 it may be a struggle to show the whole stretch on one map... But, seeing as I've just spent the last 10 minutes trying, here's an attempt at the full stretch from a 1;20,000 scale map (same date as the 1;10,000 extract - March 20th 1918)... *** EDIT*** Oh, well! didn't turn out quite as clearly as I'd hoped! CROONAERT Posted 4 July , 2011 Share Posted 4 July , 2011 i can't read the camp names? You won't be able to... I'm unable to post the image in large enough format on this site (It was just a (failed!) experiment using an image hosting site)
