Bandoliers were obsolescent for infantry by 1914 and probably the last infantry battalion to wear them was a Territorial Force Battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers in the Dardanelles. As a regiment, Royal Welsh Fusilier Battalions wore either, 1908 Pattern Web Equipment, or 1914 Pattern Leather Equipment. However, each battalion had a 'Transport Section' and men within it who were required to operate on horse back were equipped with the 1903 Bandolier.
