preshub Posted 15 June , 2011 Share Posted 15 June , 2011 I have just been given family medals to William Heslop all I know he was in merchant navy ww1 and we come from Northumberland but our family tree as it is lists only 1 heslop who appears to have died in 1911 so any help gratefully received. There are 2 merchant seamen who were awarded medals in WW1:- William Heslop, born Newcastle upon Tyne, 1862; and William Heslop, born Wallsend, Northumberland, 1881.
