Many thanks for looking Trish Close up Someone else will be able to help with his cloth formation sign and if you can do a smaller picture of his shoulder it ought to be possible to ID his regiment from the brass brass title in his strap. No, unfortunately too blurred other that to say it is one of many curved titles that existed within the infantry, but not (generally) cavalry, or Corps and Departments.
