deano Posted 4 June , 2011 Share Posted 4 June , 2011 Arthur was a man i came across on the Wharncliffe War Hospital's roll of honour here in Sheffield. It took me on and off 10 years to find the where abouts of the roll after it had been removed from the Church that stood in Wharncliffes grounds. Arthur died at the hospital on 21/12/19 aged 39 of Nephritis and Ascites. He was buried on 29/12/19 at St Michaels cemetery, Grave 32, Section A, Rivelin, Sheffield. Arthurs papers and MIC survive you know where. Recognition at last Arthur, bless you. Many thanks to Terry for putting Arthur forward on my behalf, Dean. Terry Denham Posted 5 June , 2011 Author Share Posted 5 June , 2011 He will be 'moved' to the churchyard once the grave has been inspected. By the way, it is the Brookwood (United Kingdom 1914-1918) Memorial rather than the Brookwood Memorial which is an entirely different structure.
