His (I think) Dad's Dad worked years ago for a Taylors who did medal ribbons. I think for the Garrison at Chester. I know this is off period but I thought worth a post. They look brand new but have not seen the light of day for decades. On an old list as follows. battiscombe Posted 25 May , 2011 Share Posted 25 May , 2011 it took a while to spot British South Africa Company's Medal 1890-1897 (showing as a tiny length of gold/blue ..two broad and two thinblues..) at 9 o/clock centre the rest are all present.. starting at the Irish tricoleur coloured King's South African Medal 190*- 1902 and working clockwise Egypt Medal 1882-1889 (blue/white) Afghanistan Medal1878-1880 (green/purple) Ashanti 1873 (blue/gold) India general Medal 1854-1895 (ed/b;ue) India Medal 1895 (purple/green) Queens Sudan Medal 1896- 1897 (blue/pink/cream) Ashante star (gold/blue-- small ribbonb near centre) Khedive's Sudan 1896-1908 (gold/blue.. at 3o'clock) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's the shortest one of the bunch. I had looked on google. Pleased to see the collection how fantastic if medals had been on the ribbons. I'll try and get better pictures. If any one needs or would like pics let me know and i'll e mail. They are all stapled together.
