monochrome Posted 24 May , 2011 Share Posted 24 May , 2011 I managed to find a copy of the 38th Battalion book by Eric Fairley and had a quick browse looking for any mention of my two Grand Uncles Francis Austin Curran & Harry Luke and there was a brief note about my Uncle Harry being awarded the Croix de Guerre. There is a group shot photo next to page 49 it says "Group of 38th Battalion NCOs Aldershot Camp Neuve Eglise January 1918" is very poor quality and there are no names listed, i can't find a better resolution copy via google or the Aust War Memorial website i'm hoping that at least one of my Uncles may be in the photo. Can anyone help with info on finding this and any other group shots of this Battalion in higher res i did find 2 others at the AWM http://cas.awm.gov.au/photograph/DAX1962 http://cas.awm.gov.au/photograph/PB0578 pete
